Roles in Ancient Japanese Families

All roles in ancient Japanese families were important. The Mom stayed at home and did the house work and ordered the servants around (if you were rich enough to have a servant). The Dad went shopping and went to work for money. The first born was to grow up to be a scribe or anything else important. The second born would play all day and go to school he would grow up and choose what job he would have then.
